Alistair is a really good instructor, he is kind, patient and knowledgable. Alun our son who is 4 has come on leaps and bounds in the time that he has been swimming with him. I can’t recommend him highly enough, whilst the lessons are somewhat expensive swimming is such an important life skill, they are well worth the money. Alun’s confidence in the water is unrecognisable from when he started 14 lessons ago, and he is even able to swim short distances unaided now. Alistair makes sure that every lesson is fun as well as developing key skills.

After a long time at the local council pool and lessons we found that our daughter had not progressed, so tried Swim expert and the one to one training has meant that she has progressed leaps and bounds in no time at all. Also the fact that they will teach to your own goals means we are not wasting time on things she is unlikely to use and instead build confidence and strength on what she can do.

Ask for Luke!
I have been with SwimExpert for 2 years and it has made the biggest difference to my daughter’s confidence in the water. Luke has been her teacher from the beginning and has been able to coach her from just getting into the water to a proficient swimmer. I would highly recommend Luke, especially if your little one struggles with the water!

I booked a series of 6 lessons to help me regain swimming ability after a prolonged absence from the water. Every lesson was a positive and helpful experience. In particular, Lisa was an excellent teacher. The pool water at the Apollo Hotel Basingstoke was clean and not too cold, even though the changing room lockers etc need an overhaul.
