Alistair is a really good instructor, he is kind, patient and knowledgable. Alun our son who is 4 has come on leaps and bounds in the time that he has been swimming with him. I can’t recommend him highly enough, whilst the lessons are somewhat expensive swimming is such an important life skill, they are well worth the money. Alun’s confidence in the water is unrecognisable from when he started 14 lessons ago, and he is even able to swim short distances unaided now. Alistair makes sure that every lesson is fun as well as developing key skills.

After two years of lessons at our local pool and having to fight to get the kids there each week, these lessons have been a breath of fresh air and I honestly wish I’d made the switch so much earlier. Rob is a great instructor who makes the lessons fun and has so much patience with my son who has special needs. I now have confidence that my children will be safe in the water when we’re on holiday in a few months time and we’ve just booked our next set of lessons. Thank you.

My son has made great progress with Eloise B in the short time they have had together, we will be sad to see her leave for Bristol but wish her all the best for the future. A great instructor who quickly creates a trusting bond with the student and gives detailed feedback to parents for a full understanding of where the child is on the swimming journey. I’m so impressed with my son’s progress in a course of just 5 lessons! Luke is an excellent instructor. He’s very professional, friendly and patient. He explains everything so easily and makes the lessons so much fun. My son loves the lessons and wait eagerly for the next ones. He’s now a strong swimmer with lots of confidence in the water. I have been bringing my daughter to see Melanie for private lessons for over 3 years. She is fantastic with my daughter & equally my daughter loves her lessons too. Venue is lovely, pool clean and not overly busy.

I CAN do it
After only 4 lessons 2 with Evie and 2 with Roan, I swam the equivalent of a width on my back with no float or help today. Both are really patient teachers and I hope to go from strength to strength. Not bad for a 63 year old who couldn't even float.

Excellent instructors
I booked a series of 6 lessons to help me regain swimming ability after a prolonged absence from the water. Every lesson was a positive and helpful experience. In particular, Lisa was an excellent teacher. The pool water at the Apollo Hotel Basingstoke was clean and not too cold, even though the changing room lockers etc need an overhaul. I'd recommend SwimExpert to anyone, young or old.

Bristol lessons with Jan & Nikolas
My son has swimming lessons in Bristol with both Jan & Nikolas - his swimming has come on brilliantly & his confidence has grown so much. We love the way that both instructors get the best out of him, they are super helpful & build him up by focusing on the positives rather than any negative points about his swimming. My son loves coming to the lessons & is keen for more! Jan is particular is really focused on encouraging him to be the best he can be & is excellent at liaising with us as parents asking us what it is that we want from the lessons too.

Great experience
As a complete non-swimmer adult and having never been comfortable in the water from the outset Rob has been great at building my confidence as well as my technique. The continued experience is enjoyable as well as instructive and I’m continuing to learn new skills. All the staff from my initial enquiry and booking of lessons via phone to Rob the instructor on a weekly basis SwimExpert have been friendly, informative, and supportive and I cannot recommend SwimExpert enough to anyone looking to learn.

Really kind and patient teacher
Our little girl has been swimming now for about a year. Her teacher Lisa B has been amazing threw out her journey. Our little lady has Autism, developmental delay and SEN. Lisa every week is so kind and patient with her with a great mixture of swimming and playing. Last week for the first time my little lady swam just a couple of strokes all by herself. This is a massive achievement for my little lady. Lisa has worked so hard with her gaining her confidence and encouraging her to stay focused giving her clear simple instructions.
