Hello, my name is Abi, I have been a SEQ level 2 swimming teacher since 2022 and have always loved being in and around the water, starting lessons myself at just a year old. Beginning my swimming teaching career, I became an NPLQ lifeguard at the age of 16 and progressed to a level one assistant, I fell in love with the experience so became fully qualified to instruct children from the age of three upwards.

I wanted to share my love for the sport with other members of the club and expand my own understanding of swimming techniques. At the beginning of 2023, I gained my level 2 qualification and started teaching learn to swim classes.

My name is Charlotte. I’ve been keen on swimming as far back as I remember having learnt to swim with my Granny at 4 years old. I was then a lifeguard, swim helper, assistant and full teacher and have been teaching for over 25 years. I’ve taught the whole spectrum of swimmers, both able and disabled participants and from total beginners to the very advanced.

Hi, I’m Ellie! 

I began swimming lessons myself at age 4 and progressed to swimming competitively by age 9, where I went on to represent the Isle of Wight on an international stage at age 14. Through training and competing I developed a natural curiosity and interest in the mechanics of swimming and began volunteering and later working as a teaching assistant for my swimming club. In 2015 I became a lifeguard and in 2016 became a fully qualified swimming teacher. I have worked as a swim teacher in the UK and in the US ever since, alongside studying to become a dietitian.

Originally from South East England, I now live in the Midlands. I come from a competitive swimming background, competing at County Level from age 12 to 16. I'm also a certified PADI open water diver and trained in BSL (British Sign Language). I am passionate about ensuring not only progression, but enjoyment in all my lessons, as well as keeping children and adults engaged and safe.

Hi, I'm Laura and I was a national artistic (synchronised) swimmer for 8 years, which is where my passion for aquatics began. I then decided to carry on my love for the sport through several years of coaching the next generation of swimmers in county, regional and national competitions. After gaining my qualifications, I knew swim teaching was the career for me.
